Architectural Millwork & Custom Shop Carpenter

About The Position

Monkey in the Metal is looking for a skilled, hands-on Architectural Millwork & Custom Shop Carpenter to join our Baltimore fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in cabinetmaking, architectural millwork, custom woodworking, furniture fabrication, finish carpentry, or a similar shop environment who enjoys building unique pieces and solving new challenges. We don't operate like a production cabinet shop where the same components are built repeatedly. Our projects range from custom furniture and architectural features to retail fixtures, signage, artwork, and specialty installations. If you enjoy taking a project from drawings and raw materials to a finished piece you can be proud of, we want to hear from you. Founded in 2012, Monkey in the Metal is a Baltimore-based custom fabrication company specializing in furniture, fixtures, architectural treatments, signage, artwork, and specialty fabrication. We work with architects, designers, contractors, developers, and commercial clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic to turn creative concepts into finished pieces. Our shop combines woodworking, metal fabrication, problem-solving, and craftsmanship to produce projects that rarely look exactly like the one before them.
