About The Position

Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is seeking an Architectural Designer to join their rapidly growing Tampa office. This role involves contributing to meaningful architectural solutions across an expanding portfolio of work, with involvement in all stages of design and construction. The designer will assist project managers in producing documents and managing projects, requiring strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication for networking with consultants and AHJs. GMC is a multi-disciplined Architecture and Engineering firm recognized for its impact in the Southeast and nationally, emphasizing integrity, creativity, technical excellence, and community service. Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of technical and construction document production experience.
• Understanding of building codes, construction methods, building systems, and engineering systems.
• Working knowledge and practice skills of architectural product systems.
• Working knowledge of A&E work standards, processes, and policies.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, to manage deadlines and prioritize assignments.
• Understanding of the tasks associated with the preparation of construction documents.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel required.

Nice To Haves

• Retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-impact architectural renderings using Autodesk Revit and Enscape and/or Lumion.
• Create compelling graphics, visual storytelling materials, and polished client presentations.
• Fluently navigate Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft PowerPoint in a collaborative, efficient, and fast-paced team environment.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Document as-built conditions in existing structures.
• Work in a team environment.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
