About The Position

Jamestown is expanding its in-house architecture studio. This role is a unique opportunity to drive ambitious design, placemaking, and community-building across our global portfolio. You will collaborate across disciplines—spanning architecture, interiors, landscape, lighting, and environmental graphics—to help build vibrant communities, often from the ground up. In this role, you will help shape landmark adaptive-reuse, multi-family, office, and urban mixed-use developments in iconic markets, including New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, London, Lisbon, Amsterdam, and South America. Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field
  • 2-3 years+ professional experience in architecture or interior design – commercial office and interior hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in communicating design ideas quickly through sketching, 3d modeling, and leveraging AI. We pitch lots of ideas, and the ability to do fast mock-ups is greatly valued.
  • Keen interest in design trends and the design world across disciplines
  • Knowledge of construction systems and experience with interior detailing
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and 3d modeling and AI tools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design collaboratively with our team and executives leading to the preparation of renderings, plans, elevations, sections, and details for retail, hospitality, office, and building common space projects.
  • FF&E Specification and procurement management
  • Oversee and review 3rd party architects’ design and documentation for multifamily, office, retail, and hospitality projects to ensure work product aligns with Jamestown's vision, brand and quality standards.
  • Communicate 3rd party design progress back to the executive team and other departments at Jamestown.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal Jamestown teams across creative, marketing, project management, and leasing functions for seamless project execution.
