About The Position

Our Minneapolis office is seeking an Architectural Designer I to join our team and contribute to the design of impactful environments that enrich the human experience. In this role, you'll collaborate with architects, interior designers, and other design professionals to support projects through all phases of design and construction. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging professional who is eager to grow their technical and design skills, contribute fresh ideas, and build a strong foundation within a collaborative, people-centered design practice.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 0–3 years of professional experience in architecture or a related design field.
  • A passion for design, creativity, and improving the human experience through the built environment.
  • Working knowledge of architectural design, construction documentation, and building systems.
  • Experience with Revit and BIM workflows; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Interest in developing expertise with tools such as Rhino, Enscape, and Lumion.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Interest in sustainable and regenerative design approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of design solutions through all project phases, from concept through construction.
  • Contribute to the design process through sketching, 2D drafting, 3D modeling, visualization tools, and computational design methods.
  • Assist in creating presentations, renderings, and other visual materials that communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Support the development and documentation of projects through architectural drawings, technical detailing, and BIM coordination.
  • Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to advance design and project delivery goals.
  • Participate in construction administration activities, including site observations and field verification.
  • Research building materials, products, assemblies, and systems to support project design and technical development.
  • Assist with site studies, massing explorations, programming efforts, and space planning activities.
  • Explore and support regenerative design strategies that positively impact the built, social, and natural environments.
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture that values curiosity, innovation, and design excellence.
