About The Position
AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York on October 15th and 16th. This event is an opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027. The event includes a networking mixer on Thursday evening and interviews on Friday at their New York office. AECOM is seeking an Architectural Design Intern to be based in Bloomfield, NJ or New York, NY, with an expected start date in Spring/Summer 2027. The role involves performing assignments to develop professional work knowledge, basic architectural/engineering calculations, preparing specifications and reports, and undertaking technical assignments of moderate complexity under supervision.
Requirements
- Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or in another related field and must have completed at least 1 year of study.
- Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
- Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
Nice To Haves
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Open Buildings and other computer applications.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
- Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
- Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
- Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
- Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
