About The Position

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is expanding its building-related services and has an opening for a Part-Time Architectural Design Consultant. This role involves preparing construction documents using Building Information Modeling (BIM) and overseeing projects through all phases. It's an opportunity to contribute to a growing national, multi-disciplined consulting firm serving various sectors including manufacturing, real estate, natural gas, solid waste, mining, power, and the public sector. The position can be based in either the Moon Township or Monroeville office locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering preferred
• 10+ years design experience on architectural projects
• Experience with site elements and building architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Architectural license or desire to become licensed
• Experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam software
• Experience in preparing construction documents and specifications
• Experience in providing construction administration services
• Experience performing property or facility condition assessments
• Experience in design/bid/build and design/build project delivery systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and prepare accurate detailed existing drawings
• Hazardous material analysis

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents using Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Oversee projects throughout all phases
• Evaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information
• Coordinate design criteria with other disciplines
• Develop material take-offs
• Prepare meeting minutes
• Write proposals
• Perform property or facility condition assessments

• Perform hazardous material analysis
