Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of recent and relevant architectural experience required.
  • Portfolio that demonstrates a high level of skill in design thinking and presentation media required.
  • Proficiency in Rhino or SketchUp, and 3D rendering software required.
  • Beginner Revit knowledge required; have at least one year of recent Revit experience in an academic or professional setting. Understands how Revit works, but may not have completed a project from start to finish. Has made edits to existing drawings, models, etc.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture required.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate Revit knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with real-time rendering engines (e.g., Enscape, Twin Motion, etc.) to generate still animations and renderings, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), visual scripting programs (e.g., Grasshopper and Dynamo), Adobe Creative Suite, and AutoCAD preferred.
  • NAAB-accredited professional degree or Master's degree in architecture preferred.
  • Sustainability accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing presentation materials such as conceptual drawings, 3D renderings and visualization, and digital 3D and physical models.
  • Developing and modifying design and technical solutions throughout all phases of a project.
  • Participating and contributing to design discussions, idea generation, and design work in drawing, model and 3D image formats.
  • Working closely with team members and assisting to complete projects on aggressive schedules by meeting deadlines within expected time and budget constraints.
  • Generating revisions and corrections from outline mock-ups, redlined drawings and project document sets.
  • Attending client meetings to observe the overall process and develop presentation skills.
  • Participating in construction site visits to better understand the construction process.
  • Beginning to recognize and document conflicts that arise during construction and offering alternatives to resolve these issues.
