Architectural Associate
About The Position
K. Hovnanian is celebrating 60 years of quality and leadership in the home building and community development industry. This role involves playing a large part in the everyday decisions that help build dream homes. The company is looking for someone with a passion for details and industry knowledge to team up with a home construction leader. The associate will create computer-aided plans to bring communities to life using premier CAD technology, drawing accurate and detailed plans that illustrate home plans, building materials, and options. They will also develop forms, charts, and other construction documents for review by internal decision-makers and future homeowners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent of 2-5 years' experience in the homebuilding industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Architectural Desktop.
- Proficiency in Google Sketchup.
- Knowledge of residential construction.
- Knowledge of structural and mechanical designs.
Responsibilities
- Draw accurate and detailed plans using premier CAD technology to illustrate home plans, building materials, and options.
- Develop forms, charts, and other construction documents for review by internal decision-makers and future homeowners.
