About The Position

ECM Consultants, Inc. is seeking a licensed Architect to lead the design and delivery of residential, commercial, and public sector projects across Louisiana. This role oversees projects from concept through construction, ensuring compliance, quality, and alignment with client objectives. The Architect also serves as a team leader and primary client contact.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (NAAB-accredited preferred)
Active Louisiana Architect license or ability to obtain via National Council of Architectural Registration Boards
8+ years of architectural experience, including leadership responsibilities
Experience with residential, commercial, and/or public sector projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and project management

Nice To Haves

LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience
Experience with hurricane-resistant and flood-resilient design
Familiarity with public sector procurement and historic preservation standards

Responsibilities

Lead architectural design, documentation, and project execution
Collaborate with clients to develop designs that meet project goals and specifications
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, including the Louisiana State Board of Architectural Examiners
Review project plans, technical requirements, and construction documents for quality and accuracy
Support project bidding and develop budgets, cost estimates, and schedules
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to maintain timelines, budgets, and design integrity
Oversee construction administration, including site visits and project meetings
Serve as primary client contact throughout project lifecycle
Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring productivity and quality performance
