About The Position
PSA Architects is a collaborative architecture and engineering firm specializing in commercial design solutions across multiple industries. Our work spans national brand rollouts, tenant improvements, retail spaces, fitness facilities, restaurants, offices, and mixed-use developments. Our team values curiosity, strong technical ability, and a collaborative approach to solving design challenges. PSA Architects is seeking an Architect to contribute to design development and lead smaller independent projects. This role provides the opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of architectural practice while developing leadership and project management skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership while taking ownership of one-off commercial projects and client coordination. This role offers long-term advancement opportunities toward Project Manager or senior leadership roles within the firm.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- 5+ years of architectural experience, preferably within commercial projects
- Knowledge in at least two of the following areas: Project management, MEP coordination, Architectural project leadership
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of building codes and construction processes
Nice To Haves
- Licensed Architect preferred but not required
- Experience with tools such as SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop, or Illustrator is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop architectural plans, layouts, and conceptual designs
- Produce schematic, design development, and construction documents
- Coordinate architectural work with engineering and MEP systems
- Apply knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination
- Maintain communication with clients and internal teams
- Support project managers and leadership on larger projects
- Mentor junior staff and assist with design presentations and documentation
