About The Position

The Architect/System Engineer designs and develops technology solutions that address complex business challenges and support organizational goals. This role is responsible for translating business requirements into technical designs and solutions while leveraging emerging technologies. The Architect/System Engineer contributes to technology strategy, evaluates new tools and platforms, provides technical guidance to stakeholders, and may serve in a technical lead capacity on key initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services, architecture patterns, and cloud-native application development.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and database technologies, including Java, Python, C, Rust, and C#.
  • Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable application design.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems, system administration tools, and end-user computing technologies.
  • Knowledge of systems analysis and design principles, including structured analysis, business process modeling, and application architecture.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems and utilities used in cloud computing, application deployment, automation, and system administration.
  • Knowledge of project management, prioritization, and time management principles, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Related certifications a plus.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage insurance and/or title insurance industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop applications, programs, and user interfaces based on technical design specifications.
  • Research and recommend new cloud and AI technologies.
  • Document technical design specifications for programs and data structures based on business requirements.
  • Develop unit test plans and cases for programs and applications.
  • Educate users on capabilities and use of current technologies.
  • Develop integration/Systems test plans and test cases for program and applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop program units that integrate seamlessly into the overall system.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve problems within application software.
  • Develop project plans, activity, and progress reports.
