Architect/Residential Designer
About The Position
Gabriel Builders is seeking an experienced Architect with a proven talent for creating beautiful and well-considered custom residential home designs. We specialize in luxury, high-end custom homes, serving clients in the Greenville, Lake Keowee, and Asheville areas, including all seven Cliffs Communities. Our multi-million dollar homes have received state and national awards, reflecting our commitment to detail, craftsmanship, and quality in every handcrafted home. As a client-facing role and a vital part of our firm, you will need exceptional listening skills and the ability to produce creative, accurate, efficient, and timely luxury designs. You will manage all project phases, from initial concept research and presentation to schematic design development and the creation of detailed construction sets. Beyond designing award-winning homes, you will also support the construction phase through site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and responding to project manager questions, inquiries, and RFIs.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited professional Architectural Degree program.
- 5 years of architectural experience in architectural design and construction drawings.
- Demonstrated understanding of different architectural styles.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD.
Nice To Haves
- Experience preferably in luxury residential design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suites (Photoshop, Bridge, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Proficiency in Sketchup.
Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of projects, including conceptual design research and presentation.
- Develop schematic designs based on concepts.
- Produce meticulously detailed construction sets.
- Assist in the construction phase with tasks such as site visits, review of shop drawings, and responses to PM questions, inquiries, and RFIs.
