About The Position

The Turner’s Outdoorsman seeks an Archery Tech and Sales professional. This role assists Store Management in their duties, focusing on achieving sales goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving profitability. The Archery Tech is expected to be a committed team player, embodying the Turner’s brand and company culture. This is a retail professional role requiring a strong attitude, appearance, communication skills, and customer service expertise.

Requirements

MUST HAVE ARCHERY EXPERIENCE
High school graduate (or GED) required
Fluent in English
Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment
Must be 18 years or older
Certificate of Eligibility Required
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Responsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
Must be able to use both hands when handling a firearm
Must be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs
Must be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift

Nice To Haves

college graduate or some college preferred
Prior retail or sales experience and cash handling preferred
Previous customer service experience preferred
Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferred

Responsibilities

Greets all customers
Executes all required firearms paperwork within legal parameters
Create customer orders
Provides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanship
Demonstrates constant awareness of firearm safety
Responsible for assisting in store merchandising changes
Receives stock and merchandise
Actively involved in promotions, sales and events
May fill customer fishing reels using special machines and knot-tying techniques
May participate in inventory tasks
Able to attend training seminars, including some off-site
Willing to learn how to work on both compound and traditional bow to meet Turners expectations.
Willing to learn about all of the different archery accessories Turner’s carries.
Able to provide exceptional customer service at all times.
Needs to know the difference between a compound and traditional bow/accessories.
Knowledgeable about different brands and what makes them stand out against other brands.
Must be comfortable with hunting accessories and open to helping customers
Perform other duties as assigned
