About The Position

H3M Environmental is seeking Casual Archaeological Field Technicians to support field-based archaeological assessments and projects throughout the Fort St. John region. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and contributing to meaningful environmental and archaeological projects while maintaining flexibility in their schedule. Whether you're a student, seasonal worker, retiree, or simply looking for supplemental income, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
  • Required industry safety certifications
  • CSA-approved steel-toe boots and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Reliable transportation to and from designated meeting locations

Nice To Haves

  • Previous archaeological, environmental, construction, forestry, or field experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with archaeological field assessments and investigations
  • Conducting field inspections and data collection
  • Operating and maintaining field equipment
  • Recording observations and supporting field documentation
  • Travelling to project locations throughout the Fort St. John area
  • Supporting project teams in safely completing field activities
  • Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures
