The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) seeks applicants for an Archaeological Field and Curation Intern (Unpaid Internship) for the 2026 Fall Semester. This internship is unpaid and designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Interns may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university. The Archaeological Field and Curation Assistant will assist DCR Archaeological staff in limited field excavation projects at several DCR properties and will assist in the recording of DCR's archaeological collections from DCR managed properties. The candidate will assist in the implementation of field excavation projects and background research for these projects. They will learn archaeological field methods, property background research methods, and collections curation methods within a state agency.
