About The Position

Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing arcade games, attractions, and related equipment to ensure a safe, fun, and fully operational guest experience. This role works under the direction of the Arcade Mechanic Supervisor and supports daily technical operations through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and clear communication.

Requirements

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent education
  • Basic knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and troubleshooting principles
  • The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.
  • The ability to work varying schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business operations dictates
  • The ability to adhere to the Arcade uniform policy is mandatory for this position
  • The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).
  • The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.
  • The ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.
  • The ability to perform several tasks at once.
  • The ability to follow directions or instruction.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or mechanical training preferred
  • Previous experience repairing arcade games, amusement equipment, or similar machinery preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on arcade games, redemption games, simulators, and attractions
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
  • Test karts after repair to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
  • Assist with game installations, removals, upgrades, and reconfigurations
  • Respond promptly to game malfunctions during operating hours
  • Coordinate with Arcade Attendants and Leads to prioritize repairs based on guest impact
  • Ensure machines and inspected attractions are clean, presentable, and operating at optimal performance levels
  • Support up time goals and minimize kart downtime
  • Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines when performing repairs
  • Report unsafe conditions, recurring issues, or major equipment failures to the Mechanic Supervisor
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with local safety regulations and company standards
  • Properly use and care for tools, parts, and diagnostic equipment
  • Assist with tracking parts usage and reporting inventory needs
  • Document repairs, maintenance performed, and recurring issues accurately
  • Work closely with the Mechanic Supervisor to complete assigned tasks and projects
  • Communicate clearly with management regarding equipment status and repair timelines
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Management.
