About The Position

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Donation Center Attendant to handle the operations and security of the donation area. The role supports the Center’s rehabilitation program by helping collect and resell gently used goods. The Center’s program provides residents with a clean and healthy living environment, food, work therapy, leisure activities, counseling, and spiritual direction, with a focus on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive and receipt donated materials courteously and efficiently, in accordance with policy.
• Safeguard donated materials and assigned equipment.
• Advise donors about materials that cannot be accepted.
• Maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the donation center and surrounding area.
• Sort donations and load trailers.
• Ensure unauthorized personnel do not enter the Donation Center.
• Ensure merchandise is not kept, sold, or otherwise diverted without direction from Administrator(s).
• Report complaints, damage, and unsafe conditions to a supervisor immediately.
