About The Position

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Representative Trainee to join its team in Westbury, New York. The role combines arboriculture and client relationship development. The trainee works alongside experienced arborists and receives ongoing training and mentoring to develop skills across the business, with the goal of transitioning to a full-time Arborist Representative.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience.
• ISA Arborist Certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn sales across a defined territory, including selling, marketing, customer service, administration, production, and training.
• Meet daily with existing and prospective residential and commercial clients to assess tree and shrub care needs.
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and client relationships within the territory.
• Prepare and present proposals using sales process tools, software, and other technologies.
• Supervise assigned work to ensure it follows the signed contract and meets client expectations.
• Set sales expectations with the immediate supervisor and work toward sales goals.
• Work as a member of a tree care crew during training until transitioning to a full-time Arborist Representative.
• Implement and enforce safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs.
