About The Position
The Freelance Firm is a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote, on-demand support for both short-term and long-term legal projects for client law firms. Due to increased demand, we are now interviewing for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Consumer Protection / Class Action Litigation Attorney. Remote work hours will vary, but are expected to be approximately 10+ hours per week.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years licensed and in good standing to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Strong experience in breach of contract, consumer protection, class action, and/or mass tort litigation (plaintiff or defense background acceptable)
- Extensive deposition and arbitration experience, including preparation and coverage
- Strong drafting and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and support multiple matters efficiently
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Self-starter who can work independently
Responsibilities
- Provide support on breach of contract, consumer protection, class action, and mass tort matters
- Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and other litigation-related documents
- Prepare for and attend depositions and arbitrations
- Assist with case management and litigation strategy
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
- Support attorneys with ongoing litigation matters and deadlines
- Manage multiple active files and ensure efficient case progression
