Requirements

High school diploma required, or GED
Minimum 2 years' experience with AR or Collections
Must have good basic skills in mathematics
Speedy, accurate data entry skills
Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and with accuracy
Basic accounting principles knowledge

Responsibilities

Make collection calls to customers.
Post and reconcile payments using various software programs.
Mail monthly statements.
Establish relationships with clients to pursue payments and post them on accounts.
Conduct account research and analysis.
Accurately post payments to customers accounts using ABS.
Reconcile and resolve account discrepancies.
Maintain spreadsheets using strict confidentiality with customer credit card information and check-by-phone information.
Send statements to outstanding customers.
Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues.
Provide customer service to customer inquiries regarding payment history.
Print monthly aging and post results.
Sort and file documents after posting.
