About The Position

The Aquatics Operations Assistant will assist the Aquatics Leadership Team in the administration and management of all operational and programming aspects of a comprehensive aquatics program. Some of the responsibilities will include training, scheduling, and evaluating student staff, leadership development, risk management, facility and event management, administrative support, maintenance of records, and communication/collaboration with student, university, and community organizations and individuals. Early morning, evening, and weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in mandatory in-service trainings for UNC Aquatics staff no less than once per month
  • Maintain an open line of communication with aquatics program participants and leadership
  • Assess programs and adjust as needed for the success of aquatics programs
  • Assist the Aquatics Leadership with promoting and managing new aquatics/safety-based programming
  • Assist with risk management initiatives and the implementation of risk management policies and procedures
