About The Position

FOSS Swim School is opening a new location in Parker, CO in August 2026. We are currently accepting Teacher Assistant applications to start our interview process in late May. Join FOSS where your work and YOU make a positive difference! To set our team members up for success, FOSS provides structured, cohort-based training focused on our Swim Path Curriculum. This training is designed to build both teaching skills and team connection, and consistent attendance is expected. New hires must be able to commit to one full cohort and attend all scheduled sessions. Training sessions will be held at our Lone Tree, CO location: Cohort 1: June 29 - July 20 (excludes July 4) Mondays & Wednesdays: 3:30pm - 7:30pm Saturdays: 8:30am - 12:30pm Cohort 2: July 21 - August 8 Tuesdays & Thursdays: 3:30pm - 7:30pm Saturdays: 8:30am - 12:30pm Jump into a career at FOSS! Requirements

  • Required to complete the Certified Trainer Program.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to participate in organizational, employee or community engagement events as necessary.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information, possess a high degree of personal integrity and sound judgment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in water and demonstrate the physical movements necessary to teach the FOSS Swim Path curriculum.
  • Work in an indoor pool facility that will be warm and humid with water temperatures up to 91 degrees.
  • Ability to work in areas exposed to noise, chemicals, and industrial equipment and supplies.
  • Speak with others, including children, using clear, professional, and age-appropriate language.
  • Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 15 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
  • Review documents, computer monitors or displays with potentially small print.
  • Operate a computer, handheld device such as an iPad, phone and other common office tools or controls.
  • Mentally focus on tasks and apply sound reasoning and judgement.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year employed at FOSS preferred, not required.
  • Experience in retail, health and fitness, restaurant, or other related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Swim Teachers in delivering high quality instruction using FOSS swim school tools, techniques, and mechanisms
  • Engage teachers by helping manage classes
  • Answer questions from teachers and parents/guardians
  • Assist with equipment management and distribution
  • Create welcoming environment and culture
  • Educate on water awareness with teachers, students, and parents/guardians
  • Maintain FOSS training standards
  • Support successful class management
  • Be present in and out of the schools as a FOSS Brand Ambassador
  • Build relationships with customers to create loyalty and excitement about the Foss Brand Purpose, programming, and community
  • Upholds facility cleanliness standards
