About The Position
The City of Grand Prairie is seeking a part-time Aquatics Instructor to teach swimming lessons to all ages, ensure pool safety, and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be a strong swimmer with good communication skills, enjoy working with children, and be able to enforce pool rules, maintain safe water conditions, and assist the public with questions. Training is provided.
Requirements
- Must be a strong swimmer.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must enjoy working with children.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions.
- Ability to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machines.
- No experience required.
Nice To Haves
- High School or GED preferred but not required.
- American Red Cross - Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid certification highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teaches swimming lessons to all ages.
- Ensures pool safety by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
- Monitors pool activities and provides assistance when necessary.
- Informs customers of upcoming events and answers inquiries.
- Maintains safe water conditions.
- Provides excellent customer service.
