Will have oversight over Lifeguard team. Do you love leading teams, staying active, and making a real impact on poolside safety and fun? As our Aquatics Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of aquatic operations, supporting the Aquatics Director, jumping in for lifeguard coverage, and energizing the team through training, scheduling, and leadership. You’ll help oversee the facility, and be a go-to leader for the lifeguard team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and doesn’t mind evenings and weekends. Schedule: 40 hours per week, must be available for evenings and weekends Responsible for the recruiting, training, and management of facility lifeguards. Assists with the development and implementation of staff trainings, and basic aquatic maintenance. Responsible for the key accountabilities and will also assist with lifeguard coverage.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of combined experience in Aquatics, preferably in some type of leadership capacity.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience developing, implementing and managing community activities and events.
  • Will be required to obtain ARC Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certification and Certified Pool Operation (CPO) within 6 months of hire.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office including at minimum Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
  • Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with management and supervision of Aquatic Staff (Lifeguards). Including: recruiting, training, and scheduling.
  • Serves as a representative for the Aquatic Program, answering patron questions, and directing patrons to appropriate staff.
  • Interprets and assists in the enforcement of policies and procedures of the Aquatic Department.
  • Act as Lifeguard and Facility Supervisor as needed.
  • Assist with facility maintenance and cleaning.
  • Assists aquatic management with current projects.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.
