About The Position
The Greenbush YMCA is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the full-time role of Aquatics Coordinator. This aquatic position supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening our community. The Aquatics Coordinator role maintains reliable & organized records for pool usage, with a focus on swim lesson scheduling and registration, instructor oversight, private lessons, swim team operations/communication, coaching, and direct instruction.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18.
- HS Diploma/GED is required.
- Minimum two years of experience as a swim instructor and lifeguard.
- Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory role.
- Current CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications.
- Current aquatic certifications (YMCA or American Red Cross).
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration (completed within 30 days of hire).
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Blood-borne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire).

- Some college is preferred.
