Aquatics Competitive Assistant Coach [ESP3590]
About The Position
This position is for an Aquatics Competitive Assistant Coach at the Ogden High/Ben Lomond High Pools for the year-round swim team program. The coach will instruct various levels of lessons, maintain accurate records, and provide a structured format for participant progression and development. The role also involves providing quality customer service, ensuring safety measures are observed, responding to emergencies, and maintaining accident/incident reports. The coach must communicate and comply with city and departmental rules, policies, and procedures, and report any issues to their supervisor. Responsibilities include setting up and tearing down required equipment and performing other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old (for student applicants).
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (for adult applicants).
- One (1) year of related experience (for adult applicants).
Responsibilities
- Instructs various levels of lessons.
- Keeps accurate records of lessons being taught.
- Provides a structured format for the proper progression and development at the appropriate levels of the participant taking the private lesson.
- Provides quality customer service, including interacting with participants and/or parents to answer questions and resolve problems.
- Ensures all possible safety measures are observed.
- Responds to emergency situations as required and maintains accurate accident and incident reports.
- Communicates, enforces, and complies with city and departmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
- Responsible for the set-up and tear-down of any required equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
