About The Position

The Aquatics Specialist is a full-time position responsible for providing direct service support within the Aquatics Department through lifeguarding and swim instruction. This role helps ensure a safe, welcoming, and high-quality aquatic environment for all participants and members. In addition to direct service responsibilities, the Aquatics Specialist assists with administrative and office duties as assigned by the Aquatics Coordinator or Aquatics Director.

Requirements

• Currently certified in Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid.
• Minimum experience of 2-years teaching aquatic programs for all ages and levels or lifeguarding.

Nice To Haves

• Lifeguard Instructor r.24 preferred but not required.
• Certified as a YMCA Swim Instructor, and/or WSI preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct service support within the Aquatics Department through lifeguarding and swim instruction.
• Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality aquatic environment for all participants and members.
• Assisting with administrative and office duties as assigned by the Aquatics Coordinator or Aquatics Director.
• Performing safety/supply checks of all first aid kits in the building biweekly.
