About The Position

Join the team at Willow Valley Communities as a Part-Time Aquatic Attendant or Lifeguard at our beautiful Cultural Center! Whether you're a certified lifeguard ready to dive in or someone interested in supporting daily aquatic operations, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for everyone who visits our pool facilities.

Requirements

• Less than a high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to swim, demonstrate adequate swim performance, and tread water in the deep end of the pool
• Current Lifeguard Certification and CPR Certification required (for Lifeguards)

Responsibilities

• Promoting a safe and enjoyable swimming environment
• Cautioning swimmers regarding unsafe areas
• Rescuing swimmers in danger and administering first aid when needed
• Maintaining order in swimming areas
• Inspecting facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety
• Cleaning and adding water to the swimming pool as necessary
• Testing free chlorine (CL) and pH levels daily
• Conducting or officiating swimming meets as needed
• Providing swimming instruction upon request
• Overseeing pool parties and group swim events
