About The Position

Under the immediate supervision of the Monthly Natatorium Instructor, the Aquatic Ambassador ensures the safety and supervision of patrons at Park District beaches and aquatic facilities. The role focuses on improving patron’s experience on the beach and involves performing related duties as required.

Requirements

• Completion of a least two years of High School is recommended.
• American Red Cross First Aid or equivalent
• American Red Cross AED or equivalent
• American Red Cross Oxygen Administration or equivalent
• American Red Cross Bloodborne Pathogens Training or equivalent
• Ability to meet and deal with the public.
• Ability to administer first aid and CPR to patrons needing such attention.

Responsibilities

• Enforces beach rules and regulations regarding all activities occurring on land.
• Performs maintenance duties to keep area clean, safe and attractive.
• Assists in responding to emergency situations on the beach in accordance with established methods and procedures.
• Administers first aid, CPR as necessary.
