About The Position

Under the immediate supervision of the Monthly Natatorium Instructor, the Aquatic Ambassador ensures the safety and supervision of patrons at Park District beaches and aquatic facilities. This role involves performing related duties as required, with a specific focus on improving the patron’s experience on the beach.

Requirements

• Completion of at least two years of High School is recommended.
• American Red Cross First Aid or equivalent certification (must have prior to first day of work).
• American Red Cross AED or equivalent certification (must have prior to first day of work).
• American Red Cross Oxygen Administration or equivalent certification (must have prior to first day of work).
• American Red Cross Bloodborne Pathogens Training or equivalent certification (must have prior to first day of work).
• Ability to meet and deal with the public.
• Ability to administer first aid and CPR to patrons needing such attention.

Responsibilities

• Enforces beach rules and regulations regarding all activities occurring on land.
• Performs maintenance duties to keep area clean, safe and attractive.
• Assists in responding to emergency situations on the beach in accordance with established methods and procedures.
• Administers first aid, CPR as necessary.
