About The Position

This is an entry-level, part-time position primarily focused on servicing aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The role requires basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly, with significant physical demands including heavy lifting and bending. The work is typically performed during business hours (8 am to 7 pm) but offers flexibility, with hours averaging 8-15 per month and varying based on service needs. Travel within a 100-mile radius of Alexandria, VA, is required, with mileage reimbursement provided. Masking/goggles may be necessary due to the work environment. The role also involves storing supplies, including 50lb bags of bedding and seed, and 4-5 27-gallon totes of supplies.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fish keeping and or bird keeping preferred
• Preference given to candidates with mechanical aptitude.
• High School education is preferred.
