About The Position
The WIN Clinic provides primary care services to adults over age 18, including physicals, treatment for illnesses and injuries, and health screenings. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at LifeStream Behavioral Center provides comprehensive mental health care by assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with psychiatric disorders. The APRN works with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated behavioral health services and support community well-being.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of practice.
- Board certification through ANCC or AANP.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with mental health care practices.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience diagnosing and treating mental health disorders.
- A proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
- Prescribe and manage medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatments as needed.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling using various therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate, current medical records and comply with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and continuing education.
- Advocate for patients' needs and rights and promote a supportive, therapeutic environment.
- Contribute to policies and procedures that improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
