About The Position

The APRN is responsible for the medical aspects of the practice as directed and under the supervision of a physician. The APRN will abide by the Kansas State Board of Nursing Practice Statutes and be responsible for maintaining current qualifications.

Requirements

Must have completed educational requirements and have a current license with the State of Kansas.
Must be credentialed to practice medicine as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
Ability to read and the ability to write.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

Evaluate physical/psychosocial health status through performing comprehensive health history and physical examinations.
Ordering, performing, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic procedures.
Plan, implement, and evaluate care.
Consult and collaborate with client and health care team at St. Luke for acute or ongoing health care or referral as indicated.
Manage the medical plan of care prescribed for the client, based on adopted standards of care protocols.
Initiate and maintain accurate records.
Develop individualized teaching plans with the client based on health needs.
Counsel individuals, families, and groups about health, illness and promotion of health maintenance.
Attend St. Luke Medical Staff meetings.
Participate in staff meetings.
Adhere to St. Luke dress code policy.
Treat customers and co-workers with respect and courtesy
Complete mandatory annual online education.
Maintain current certifications (ACLS, CPR).
Perform other duties as assigned by supervising physician or CEO.
Maintain patient and system confidentiality.
Handles emergency or crisis situations in a calm manner.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
