About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Primary Care APRN to provide comprehensive, adult patient-centered care across the lifespan. This role involves health promotion, disease prevention, acute and chronic disease management, and care coordination. The APRN will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients, promoting evidence-based practice, patient education, and continuity of care to improve individual and population health outcomes. Requirements

Master's Degree in Nursing – Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Two (2) years of RN experience.
One (1) year of Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) experience.
Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; Arkansas APRN License, or eligible for licensure.
Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

Four (4) years of RN experience.
Two (2) years of Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) experience.
Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire.
Primary Care clinic experience.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, implement treatment plans, prescribe medical treatments, and manage health issues in collaboration with designated physicians.
Work autonomously and with a multidisciplinary team, serving as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
Coordinate multidisciplinary care, facilitate necessary consultations, and ensure timely, appropriate care.
Interact with patients and the public professionally and with courtesy.
Communicate accurately and completely; maintain confidentiality.
Foster positive relationships with colleagues, management, and ancillary departments.
Demonstrate patient- and family-centered care concepts and follow the Code of Conduct guidelines.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
May perform other duties as assigned to advance the mission of UAMS.
