The APRN - Wound Care position involves the debridement of wounds using various methods, application and management of topical wound care products, and directing associated services to improve wound healing outcomes. This includes interpreting diagnostic tests, recommending follow-up actions, and prescribing medications or Durable Medical Equipment (DME) within the scope of practice and collaborative agreement. The role also includes performing Diabetic Foot Ulcer risk assessments, educating patients and physicians on wound management, and providing updates on patient conditions. The APRN will act as a resource for decisions, planning, and policies affecting resident health, and collaborate with staff to identify and meet customer needs. Other duties may be assigned.
