The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking an APRN to work inpatient and outpatient alongside our physician faculty and residents within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive health care for assigned patients/community as determined by scope of practice guidelines and specialty. This includes completion of a health assessment, determining diagnosis, planning and prescribing treatment within the parameters of medical staff privileges at the University of Illinois and area of expertise. The APRN participates in the educational experiences of nursing students, medical students, residents and other health care disciplines. The APRN is required to have and maintain a faculty appointment in order to receive clinical privileges to practice at the University of Illinois. This position will primarily focus on outpatient women's health care including obstetrics and gynecology, preconception counseling, early pregnancy education, and menopausal care. The APRN will work closely with physician faculty, residents, nursing staff, and an interdisciplinary healthcare team while contributing to the educational mission of UICOMP.
