About The Position

The Advanced Practice Nurse will assist the collaborative physician with clinic patients, organizing visits and performing clinic procedures, assist in the procedural room, and answer calls on daily basis for the Interventional Pain subspecialty for evaluation, treatment, and procedures for the Interventional pain patient population. The APRN will be responsible for managing the care of outpatients independently or with the physician, answering telephone inquiries and filling prescriptions, and performing injections. A nurse must have a high level of expertise to perform assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential problems of patients.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Current AR APRN License
  • Licensed AR RN License
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the collaborative physician with clinic patients, organizing visits and performing clinic procedures.
  • Assist in the procedural room.
  • Answer calls on daily basis for the Interventional Pain subspecialty for evaluation, treatment, and procedures for the Interventional pain patient population.
  • Manage the care of outpatients independently or with the physician.
  • Answer telephone inquiries and fill prescriptions.
  • Perform injections.
  • Assess patients by taking medical histories and performing physical exams.
  • Diagnose illnesses and conditions using clinical judgment and diagnostic tests.
  • Order and interpret tests (labs, X-rays, etc.).
  • Develop treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
  • Prescribe medications (authority varies by state laws).
  • Provide primary or specialty care (family practice, pediatrics, mental health, etc.).
  • Manage chronic conditions like diabetes or hypertension.
  • Treat acute illnesses and injuries.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
  • Work with physicians and healthcare teams (or independently in some states).
  • Supervise or mentor registered nurses (RNs) and support staff.
  • Participate in care coordination across services.
