About The Position

Kitchen Kettle Village is seeking motivated individuals for their Food Service Apprenticeship Program in Intercourse, PA. This part-time position offers hands-on experience and skill development in food preparation, cooking, and service under the guidance of experienced professionals. The program aims to equip apprentices with the knowledge and practical expertise necessary for a career in the food and hospitality industry. Apprentices will learn company cooking methods, kitchen policies, and gain complete menu knowledge to assist guests. They will be responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction, complying with food safety standards, and assisting in various food service areas. The program requires a commitment to embodying the company's vision, mission, and values, including "Spreading Happiness" and "Creating Exceptional Experiences and Lasting Memories."

Requirements

  • Submit a formal one-page letter showcasing your background, interest in food service, and the apprenticeship program.
  • Submit at least one professional letter of recommendation or reference.
  • Understand the time commitment of this program both on and off the job, once accepted into the program.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the preliminary period before official acceptance into a specific apprenticeship track
  • Follow all requirements for the apprenticeship program
  • Understand and abide by the company’s cooking methods, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Have complete menu knowledge and be able to share with guests.
  • Assure guest satisfaction by greeting all guests, visiting tables, responding to guest food and service issues
  • Comply with all food safety standards
  • Perform all position extra duties as dictated by guest volume demands
  • Interact with all team members in a positive productive manner
  • Maintain organization in all product storage areas
  • Willing to assist in other food service related areas
  • Perform all other duties as required or assigned.
