About The Position
This is an entry-level role for individuals seeking a rewarding career in Maintenance. The position offers hands-on experience, applying learned skills from school, with a focus on Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Electrical and Program Logic Controls (PLC), Blueprint reading and drawings, Math skills including algebra and geometry, and Understanding of industrial safety practices. Scot Forge is a premier manufacturer of large scale metal forgings with locations in Spring Grove, IL, Clinton, WI and Franklin Park, IL.
Requirements
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED
- Experience with mechanical repair
- Experience with troubleshooting
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical
- Mechanically inclined
- Strong organization, attention to detail and professionalism
- Desire to work hard and willing to learn
- Ability to perform frequent lifting to 65 lbs
Responsibilities
- Apply classroom education to hands-on experience in maintenance.
- Focus on Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
- Focus on Electrical and Program Logic Controls (PLC).
- Engage in Blueprint reading and drawings.
- Utilize Math skills including algebra and geometry.
- Understand and apply industrial safety practices.
