About The Position
Entry-level position that performs work assisting a full performance technician/mechanic/worker in a specific trade. Tasks become more complex as there is progression in skill. Assignments are well-defined in nature and the employee is expected to carry them out according to detailed instructions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or equal combination of education and experience
- Six (6) months of related experience
Responsibilities
- Perform training-level work in a specific trades area
- Performs work under the supervision of a higher-level trades worker
- Uses hand and power tolls to assist a full performance trades worker in performing maintenance, repairs or tests in a trade specialty
- Assembles equipment and material needed to begin and complete work projects; supplies trades worker with materials an tools required while work in in progress; positions objects for installation, repairs, etc., cleans equipment; stocks maintenance vehicles with tools and equipment for field repairs; gathers salvageable materials in the field and returns them to the repair shop
