About The Position

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.

Saber Power Services seeks a motivated and safety-conscious
Apprentice. In this role, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of high voltage systems under the supervision of experienced Journeymen and Foremen. This apprenticeship offers hands-on training, mentorship, and a pathway toward becoming an Electrician or Lineman.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain
• Ability to travel and work overtime or on-call as needed
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn
• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, climb structures, and perform manual labor
• Strong commitment to safety
• Team player with a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

• Previous construction or electrical experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground high voltage power lines and equipment (typically 69kV – 500kV)
• Operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner
• Prepare materials, tools, and equipment at job sites
• Support construction crews with site setup, traffic control, and equipment operation
• Learn and follow all company safety protocols, procedures, and utility regulations
• Attend and complete all required safety and technical training
• Perform physical labor such as digging trenches, lifting materials, and climbing poles or towers (with proper supervision and training)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks, equipment, and job sites
• Accurately complete job documentation and reports as directed
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
