About The Position

Xcel Energy is seeking one or more 3rd Step Apprentice/Journeyman Linemen to join their team at the Mankato Service Center in Mankato, MN. This role involves performing all duties of a Lineman, including work on overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, provide quality customer service, be self-motivated, and possess a positive attitude. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Degree/diploma from an accepted Line School.
• Meet driver qualification requirements, including a valid Commercial Class A Driver's License.
• Physically capable of performing all aspects of electric overhead and underground distribution construction, operations, and maintenance work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Presently qualified to be a 3rd Step Apprentice Lineman or higher.
• Self-motivated and possess a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Must live within a 20-mile radius of the assigned Service Center.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated commitment to work safely and productively.
• Participation in after-hours emergency call-outs.
