About The Position

Apprentice Scaffold Carpenters build and maintain safe, reliable scaffolding to support project work. The role may include erecting, altering, disassembling, moving, repairing, and inspecting scaffolds, as well as reviewing blueprints or specifications and completing assigned tasks with quality workmanship. Workers use power and manual tools and equipment, follow safety rules, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. On-the-job training is offered.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and working outside.
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
• Knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Erect, alter, disassemble, move, repair, and inspect scaffolds.
• Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements.
• Complete assigned scaffold tasks with quality workmanship.
• Operate power and manual tools and equipment used in scaffold carpentry.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Perform job duties and associated work functions attentively and safely.
• Perform heavy physical labor.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and foremen.
