About The Position

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking motivated individuals for their Rigger Apprenticeship Trainee Program. This program is designed to provide comprehensive training in core rigging skills for those without prior experience in the machinery moving industry. Upon completion, participants will be proficient in the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for various Machinery Moving/Rigging positions. The company is a large provider of rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, mechanical installation, industrial storage, crating, and export packing services across the United States, serving diverse industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Construction, Data Center, Food Processing, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Pharmaceutical. Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Commitment to learning and completing all program assignments, tasks, and assessments.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Willing and able to travel to training locations.
Must be able to work in a highly functioning team environment.
Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment year-round.
Must be able to perform general physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 50 pounds.
Must complete pre-employment contingencies including a 5-panel drug test and a Criminal Background Check upon accepting an offer.

Responsibilities

Learn and master core rigging skills through hands-on training, activities, and assessments.
Perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, including climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Work in an outdoor environment year-round.
