About The Position
Hood Packaging is a manufacturer of high-quality packaging materials with 23 production facilities across Canada and the United States. We have grown through innovation and strategic acquisitions. Initially involved in the cotton trade, we have expanded our flexible packaging expertise to include paper, plastic, and woven substrates. Our Montreal division specializes in the production and printing of plastic film, serving the food industry as well as any industry in need of high-quality flexible packaging. We are currently looking for passionate individuals who are excited to join a family-run manufacturing business! If you are excited about making a real impact as part of a winning team, we currently have an opening for an Extrusion Apprentice at our food packaging plant in Saint-Léonard.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Transport resin from the warehouse to the extrusion equipment.
- Fill the hopper with the appropriate resin based on the type of plastic roll to be produced.
- Start, adjust, and optimize the extrusion lines according to production specifications.
- Assist in quality control using measurement tools and verification tests.
- Finalize the product and prepare it for shipment to the warehouse or the printing department.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to prevent any non-compliance affecting product quality.
- Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Strictly follow workplace health and safety rules.
- Always respect Hood Packaging Corporation’s quality and food safety policies.
