About The Position
The New Iberia facility specializes in cold box assembly and fabrication, pressure vessels and other cryogenic equipment as used for the air separation and hydrocarbon industries. The end users of this equipment include all the major LNG, petrochemical and air separation engineering on a worldwide basis. The facility is located at the Port of Iberia.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General knowledge of fabrication tools and parts
- Experience with related equipment
- Crane operation certification required (May be obtained on-the-job)
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to perform duties in a manner that ensures their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- Education may be substituted by extended experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift and 15 ton or 35 ton cherry picker to move and organize material around the yard and warehouse as needed.
- Assist in receiving when needed.
- Mandatory department for load out.
- Has working knowledge of spreaders, slings and chokers as to strength and placement on loads.
- Lifts, moves and places loads, exercising care for the safety of other employees, material, property and equipment.
- Performs a variety of work as an operator and other tasks as related to the operations of on-going projects.
- Added duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Responsible for any damage to equipment/materials caused by negligence.
Benefits
- The starting rate for this role is $16.50 per hour.
