About The Position
Apprentice Plumbing and Domestic Heating Based at our regional office in Belmont, Durham, with set days out in the community and to attend college. Home Group's apprenticeships offer the chance to earn while you learn, gain a recognised qualification, and make a real difference to people and communities. This role involves learning to install, repair, and maintain domestic plumbing and heating systems, assisting with safety checks, diagnosing faults, and working safely. You will gain a Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician qualification, delivered by New College Durham, combining on-the-job learning with structured study.
Requirements
- Achieved GCSEs in English and Mathematics grades 9-4 (A-C)
- IT confident, or at the very least have a basic understanding
- Keen to learn and develop new skills for example, communication both, verbal and written
- Share our values, want to make a difference, and thrive in a team environment
- Organised, curious and willing to ask questions
Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain domestic plumbing and heating systems
- Assist with safety checks and following gas safety regulation
- Diagnose faults and help to fix issues in customers’ homes
- Work safely, following health and safety guidelines
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues, showing care, respect and good timekeeping
- Progress through applying learning, working safely and gaining independence toward qualified status
