About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Plumber to join our commercial mechanical construction team. This role provides hands-on training and career development under the supervision of experienced Journeyman and Master Plumbers on large-scale commercial projects, including schools, hospitals, office buildings, and industrial facilities. All applicants must possess a current Texas Plumbing Apprentice License at the time of application.

Requirements

  • Current Texas Plumbing Apprentice License required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial plumbing construction experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to build a long-term career in the plumbing trade.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening and maintain job site access requirements.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more with assistance when needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and on active construction sites.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, natural gas, and vent piping.
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping and plumbing components according to project requirements.
  • Assist with underground rough-in, above-ground rough-in, fixture installation, and final trim-out activities.
  • Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and job site requirements.
  • Attend apprenticeship training and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members while demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop trade skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
