As an Apprentice Miller, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily flour mill operations while learning the processes, equipment, and skills necessary to grow within the milling profession.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
Ability to understand material flow, production processes, and sequences of operations.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize tasks.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other computer software.
Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test and perform essential job duties while wearing a respirator.
Willingness to learn and develop the skills necessary for advancement within the milling operation.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of flour milling, food production, or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Work alongside the Head Miller and Shift Miller to operate the flour mill and coordinate the transfer of flour products.
Transfer flour according to quality department and customer specifications while performing required quality and food safety checks.
Assist with mill changes, daily operations, and equipment repairs as needed.
Follow all GMP, OSHA, HACCP, GFSI, FDA, and company food safety and sanitation requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready work environment by following SOPs and the master sanitation schedule.
Develop troubleshooting and problem-solving skills while learning how materials flow through the milling process.
Support mill operators and provide assistance with daily duties and responsibilities.
Step in for the Head Miller or Shift Miller when needed.
