About The Position

Raley's is hiring an Apprentice Meat Cutter, described as a fearless and inspiring Meat Cutter Team Member with a passion for food. The role assists with day-to-day operations in the Meat department, supports department operations, and provides excellent customer service. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Be friendly and customer-service oriented.
Be self-motivated and attentive to detail, quality, and presentation.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
Work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Read, understand, and follow verbal and written directions.
Reliably meet the required work schedule and adhere to the company attendance policy.
Be able to meet the occasional physical demands of standing, sitting, lifting and stocking up to 50 pounds, pushing, keyboarding, telephone use, walking, and bending.

Responsibilities

Assist the Meat Team Leader with department tasks.
Cut and trim meat to company standards for retail sale.
Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service.
Share food knowledge with customers and Team Members.
Follow Food Safety, Safety, and Sanitation policies.
Support daily department operations, merchandising, and quality control of department offerings.
Help drive department sales while managing shrink and expenses.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
